Benzoyl peroxide
Benzoyl Peroxide is one of the top treatments recommended for acne.
It can help to reduce whiteheads and blackheads. It's antibacterial
properties help to kill P. acne on and just under the surface of the
skin without the need for internal antibiotic medications. It will also
dry out pustules and reduce associated inflammation, speeding up the
healing process.
Benzoyl Peroxide is available in hundreds of products including, creams,
gels, lotions, facial masks and cleansing bars. It is typically available
in 2.5%, 5% and 10% strengths. Stronger solutions are available by prescerption.
Regular use is most effective. Results can take up to 6 weeks. Your
acne may seem to get worse at first before it gets better. If you experience
